A book along with the fireplace illuminating the room as I relaxed in the plush armchair near the warmth. Christmas was going to be in a few days and that made my heart warm up knowing how others would celebrate it along with their friends and families. But what about me? I was in the mountain cabin along with my boring, rude roommate, Dominic. We always fought over nothings and liked to piss each other off most of the time. He invited me in that magnificent place just so the loneliness wouldn’t scare him out as it typically did since he usually locked himself in his room.
The living room door creaked open and he nonchalantly walked in. An unbothered expression was plastered on Dominic’s face so I ignored him since it looked like he didn’t want to be disturbed and I minded my own business back in the magical ink written on the paper. “Sabrina.” His deep voice sent chills down my spine out of nowhere, was it normal? I didn’t like him after all, right?
I quickly shot him an annoyed glare as my brows furrowed “What?” The tone in my voice matched his attitude and I knew he didn’t like it at all, the satisfaction I got by annoying him being awfully big. He breathed deeply before smiling “Let’s go out and play in the snow. I know you like that a lot so I thought it would be a good thing to do.” I was taken aback by that. The grand Dominic Graham was proposing to me to have a snow fight? Not much time passed and I was ready to play.
I smiled at the view in front of me, the white snow along with the green trees painted a beautiful landscape which I could never forget. The cold was there, but the magic of a beautiful Christmas was all worth it. There were small animals, looking for something to feed with, colored in vibrant shades of autumn colors and it all made a perfect view to watch at for hours. The opportunity was tempting so I snapped a few photos to remember about it.
We crafted a snowman and named him Chilly, the mountain snowman. It was cute how Dominic made him a mustache, and hair as well as a smile and two charcoal eyes. I put him two arms made out of sticks, taken from the ground, then he was complete. Chilly the snowman made by Sabrina Amara and Dominic Graham. The laughter and fun time between us felt like something we never did before and I started to think that maybe he wasn’t rude or grumpy, just talked less than others.
Our eyes met as everything around us stopped for a moment. His deep blue eyes sparkled as we took a step closer and chuckled “I guess you’re not as bad as I thought.” He grinned and cupped my cheek with his big warm hand “Your lips are almost purple. We should go back inside.” His thumb traced my bottom lip as the tension between us could be felt from miles away and the snow was peacefully falling somewhere in the background. Our breaths mixed as the inches between us were disappearing and the trace of time was out of our minds. I didn’t let another moment go and softly embraced his lips with mine into an unexpected kiss I’ve never dreamt of. The passion flowed through our bodies as we broke apart and looked deeply in each other’s orbs. It was an unanticipated moment we didn’t prepare for, but enjoyed it with our hearts.
Dominic intertwined his fingers with mine without breaking the eye contact along with the smiles we sent to each other. “Well, that was something.” The small murmur made me chuckle “Just something? It was much more than that, Dominic.” He agreed with me and glanced at Chilly before looking back at me. “He might hear us, but…” The hesitation made my curiosity grow. “Would you like to be my other half, Sabrina?” I nodded and he spun me around out of happiness as we laughed at the beautiful moment we shared.
