The velvet mystery

I was casually sitting in the living room and watching a Christmas movie to get in the spirit of it and the kids in there were singing carols. Why couldn’t I do that as well?

I quickly put on my coat, the traditional scarf and a pair of boots then walked around the neighborhood and sang Christmas carols to the ones living nearby my house. It wasn’t just for the money, but for the happiness to see the smiles upon people’s faces and the joy of bringing such words into their houses.
I got back home and checked the mail box for anything new: bills, letters or something else that could’ve landed in there.
To my surprise, there was a velvet box hugged with a pink shiny ribbon and no name, or message or any words that could lead me into finding the sender.
Curiosity got the best of me as I walked in the house and sat on the plush sofa where I opened the box and a silver bracelet was laying on some small cushions designed for specialities. A small gasp left my mouth at the sudden photo unwrapped in front of my eyes and I couldn’t believe it, such an amazing thing gifted to me? But by who?
There was no lead into finding out such information and I felt guilty because I got a beautiful bracelet for nothing, but deep down I enjoyed the present, every bit of it.

-THE END-
